Littlerock is one of the few places in Los Angeles County where swamp coolers (evaporative coolers) are still very common. For decades, they were the standard because they are cheap to run. But as our summers get hotter and more humid, many residents are making the switch.
The Problem with Swamp Coolers
Swamp coolers work by adding moisture to the air. This works great when it's 95°F and dry. But when the monsoon moisture comes in July and August, swamp coolers stop working. They just blow hot, wet air into your house, making it feel like a sauna.
Central AC: The Comfort Upgrade
Central Air Conditioning removes humidity, which is the key to comfort. It also filters the air, removing the dust and pollen from the orchards that surround Littlerock.
Can I Add AC to My House?
If you have existing ductwork for heating, we can usually add an AC coil and an outdoor condenser. If you have no ductwork, we can install a ductless mini-split system, which is extremely efficient and requires no major remodeling.
